Jay Fans Only
This is a great DVD if you're a Jay Cutler fan. I enjoyed it but it did seem to drag quite a bit with a lot unnecessary footage of his cardio, I didn't need to watch him do five minutes on a treadmill! It is interesting seeing him go through his daily routine, including meals, workouts, and personal insights of the sport of bodybuilding and his career. If you want a DVD that is more in depth about training look else where, if you're a Jay Cutler fan then you should appreciate it and it's a must have.
Extraordinary DVD from an extraordinary athlete
In the sport of professional bodybuilding, Jay Cutler has done just about everything and won everything to which an athlete can aspire except the most prestigious title of all, Mr. Olympia. He has been runnerup 4 times now and is considered by me and by many to be an uncrowned champion. And his day for Olympia glory will come.
Mitsuru Okabe is one of the top bodybuilding videographers in the sport. Mits and Jay collaborate to produce a classic DVD, full of motivation, instruction and inspiration. Jay is shown to best advantage in the weeks leading up to one of his 3 wins in the Arnold Classic, another prestigious pro competition.
Jay's focus, dedication and single mindedness to his goal are simply admirable. And that comes across splendidly in this DVD. Jay's wife Kerry also comes across as a wonderful lady and very dedicated in her own right. She is as supportive and as there for Jay as any partner and spouse can be. And that means a lot in this sport to have someone to provide support and faith.
For fans of Jay and the sport, this is a must have and must see.
Have had the privilege of meeting Jay at shows, and he is one of the kindest and most terrific people I know. Highly recommend this superlative DVD.
A Cut Above! (from a female fan)
Jay is a quality person in the DVD and a quality person in real life -- I had the pleasure of meeting him at a show. I play the DVD in the background while working out and it's very inspiring. And if you listen with the sound, you'll hear about his training, nutrition, and strict, organized planning in how he goes about preparing for a bodybuilding contest. Very entertaining, interesting, and motivating! I highly recommend it.
